Some of our customers have wireless analog phones that they want to continue to use. Even though they are using our internet phone service they do not want to use their mobile phone app to make and receive calls. They want to be able to be mobile within their office with their wireless analog phones.
The way CIS supports this request is by setting up a SIP Trunk and using an ATA.
A SIP Trunk is a virtual telephone line that uses the Internet to connect your phone system to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN).
An ATA (Analog Telephone Adapter) is a device that allows you to use a regular telephone with your Internet phone service (the picture to your right is an ATA that is manufactured by GrandStream). When used together, a SIP Trunk and an ATA can provide several benefits for your business.
